Julie Visser


Julie Visser specializes in soft IP, with a focus on copyright, trademark and design law. She is regularly involved in litigation for designer brands, authors, publishers and other companies in the creative industries.
Julie obtained her master’s degree in Information Law at the Institute for Information Law (IVIR) of the University of Amsterdam. While obtaining her bachelor's degree, she participated in an extracurricular honours programme and studied History and Politics of South Africa at Stellenbosch University.
Julie has been with one of the predecessors of AC&R, Hofhuis Alkema Groen, since 2018, where she worked as a paralegal and later as a lawyer. Julie was admitted to the Bar in 2021.
In addition to her work in litigation, Julie lectures on copyright law at the University of Amsterdam.

In the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister), Julie Visser has registered 'Intellectual Property Law' as her legal practice area. Based on this registration, Julie is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in this legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
