Ron received his master's degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2016 and was admitted to the Bar in 2017. His practice is centred on intellectual property and media law, with a strong focus on licensing across a variety of sectors, including film, television, publishing, and digital media. Ron frequently advises clients in the entertainment and events industry, offering guidance on digital events, streaming, and content distribution.
He has considerable experience in representing companies on matters of intermediary liability, defamation, journalism, and unlawful publications, including complex disputes involving freedom of expression. Ron regularly provides strategic counsel to media outlets, broadcasters, and newspapers on compliance, licensing, and rights management, helping them to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of digital and traditional media.
Ron is also a lecturer on copyright and media law at the Leiden Law Lunch (PAO Leiden), sharing his expertise on a variety of intellectual property topics.
